Let's kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with this public service announcement!
Go to the breast cancer site and you can click for free to help gather donations for free mammograms. From January - June 2008, 1,460 mammograms were purchased from the free clicks supplied. And if you'd like to help further, there is a store to buy products from. I think I might get myself a pink vest for my Breast Cancer 3day walk. Cute - cute - cute! :)
If breast cancer isn't your preference, try:
the hunger site
the children health site
the literacy site
the rainforest site
the animal rescue site
There are so many ways to help. About a year ago, for a birthday present I went to the "hunger site" and I gave the gift to send 2 girls to school in Afghanistan. Then, I printed it out for my friend and put it into her card. She's an elementary school teacher and is always wishing that she could make a global change to make the world a better place. She was thrilled. She called me crying (not exactly the reaction that I wanted - please don't cry on your birthday). She really valued the gift. All of us have so much, it is nice to get a birthday gift that doesn't clutter up the house. :)
My aunt is still working hard to reach her $2200 minimum to walk 60 miles with Team Beadalicious next month. She's already halfway there (she got a late start) but she would love your help to get all the way there. Aunt Heather would love a donation. Anything that you can give is great - $5, $50 or $500...it all goes to a great cause.
