Are you familiar with Kumihimo? You've probably seen the boards at a trade show. We sell them online. They have been very popular. The only problem is that they tend to be complicated and overwhelming for a new designer. So, we found a much easier version - called the Diva Custom Cord Maker. There is a Regular (only $36.00) and a Deluxe (only $39.00) version. Pretty well everything you need is included in the package minus the cord, including instructions.
Diva Custom Cord Makers are acrylic templates that are used to make simple woven cords. They are braiding boards, similar to Kumihimo Boards, but are much easier. Silk, satin, colored Soft Flex Wire and other fibers can be used to make cords for purses, clothing, bracelets, necklaces and more. They are wonderful gifts for creative children and crafty adults. Easy to learn and simple to use. This Diva Custom Cord Maker set includes 2 disks (looms) and one large set of bobbins. Large bobbin diameter: 8.6CM (3.4 inches).
Also, if you do prefer Kumihimo but need bobbins, we have them available in small & medium.

Can you tell us if medium or heavy was used? Also, how did they finish it off, what type of ends were used?

You could use either medium or heavy. It is your preference. I think that she used a 3x3 crimp tube and Mighty Crimping Pliers on the ends to attach a clasp. :)
