In just eleven short days, the Soft Flex Company Glass Art & Bead Festival begins in New York City. The show, at its new location of the Fashion Institute of Technology, will be open Friday, October 16th through Sunday, October 18th. From noon to four every day of the show, the ladies of the Bead Society of Greater New York will be teaching *free* make-it-take-it classes for show attendees. These classes are available on a first come, first serve basis for any beader who comes to the show, beginner and advanced alike. This year, the three projects being offered are:

Champagne Dreams Earrings
designed by Jamie Hogsett

These earrings are a shortened version of the Golden Rings Earrings (a free project idea in the Soft Flex Company School of Design). This is a fun pair of earrings with a lot of movement. They're a great way to learn or practice basic crimping.

Braided Bracelet
designed by Jamie Hogsett

This bracelet uses Soft Flex wire in Coral, Onyx, and Copper, the three colors matched up in the Elegant Trios set. This bracelet looks great on the wrist and would look awesome worn in multiples. It's finished off with a bright red Czech glass button.

Triple Loop Earrings
designed by Lisa Vernon

Lisa's earrings are made with Soft Flex wire in Lapis and accented with sparkling Czech pressed-glass beads. The wire and beads are secured with one 3x3mm crimp tube and crimped with Mighty Crimping Pliers. They're great with jeans or anything else in the closet.

Come and visit us at FIT next week! You'll be able to shop from some fine bead vendors and you'll leave the show with at least one finished project. We look forward to seeing you at the show!
