Opportunity from Plaid

A message from Plaid:

We, the jewelry team at Plaid, are looking for jewelry crafters who also have a blog for future projects!
We're interested in ALL styles and media, but especially those who focus on beading, stringing, and creating lovelies with all types of charms, chain, and pendants.  If you have experience with creating projects and writing instructions, that's a bonus!  We want people who purchase jewelry supplies at craft stores (Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanns)....but we understand that many of you shop online!  No problem!

We don't have ALL of the specifics of what we're looking for....but here's a quick list of what we "think" we'll be needing:

A group of jewelry crafters that can help us to....
- narrow down our offerings for retail (ex.  sometimes we have a 100 designs, and only need 60...maybe you can help us pick the best 60!)

-text new jewelry products and tools, providing appropriate feedback as to who it functions, needs for improvements, etc!

-make finished jewelry samples from time to time  for meetings, tradeshows, website, and printed publications. (These will need instructions.)

-provide ideas for new trends or new products (if you have them)

-promote our new products online by product giveaways, finished samples/tutorials, and a general "cheerleading" of Plaid jewelry!

-help enhance the jewelry team by offering opinions on ideas, styling, etc.

-spend 2-3 hrs/week (some weeks nothing, some weeks a little more....just depends on cycle)

-answer survey questions we may have

How will it benefit you?

-We're working on a pay scale...is it a monthly fee?  Is it a pay per blog?  etc. TBD, but there will be some sort of payment.

-Free jewelry product for all new programs to play with as you wish (and to use as giveaways for your blog)

-We will publish (on our site/blogs AND for our presentation purposes) our "jewelry panel"...

-We plan to cross-promote blog entries by also mentioning them on our other Plaid blogs (so hopefully, more traffic/exposure for you!)

-Depending on how much we can grow our jewelry department, perhaps tradeshow appearances....

Other ways still being defined....

If any/or all of this interests you at all, please send us your email, your blog, your etsy shop, you facebook, your twitter.... (pretty much all of your information!!!) about yourself and the ways you do social networking.  Don't go to any trouble...it can be very casual!

We are looking to create a small team.  We want the team to be well-rounded....some funky, some more traditional, some in-between.  There's not "perfect fit!"  We're open to everything and everyone.

We are so excited to get this started, and can't wait to hear from you!  When we get info and have a larger group to choose from, we'll begin to narrow down the submissions.  Please know that, unfortunately, we can't choose everyone!   We'll use things such as "Google Rank" and other methods to put together our team....but I know it will be hard because we have such a talented community around us!

Please let me know if you have ANY questions, and I'll be glad to help answer them!!  I look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Rather nice blog you've got here. Thank you for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more on that blog soon.
