Handcrafted Jewelry Studio Giveaway

Magazine Giveaway!

Receive a free copy of the Handcrafted Jewelry Studio (an emagazine) by commenting on this blog with the name of your favorite beading magazine. A winner will be chosen on Friday at noon (MST) using a random number generator. Don't forget that I have to be able to contact you if you win.

I got to take a sneak peek at the new emag by Interweave last Friday, Handcrafted Jewelry Studio. I believe that this magazine launches today. Oooooh....Aaaaah! It is very neat. They use "a variety of formats (videos, slideshows, and text) to best serve you." In the first issue they feature, Susan Lenart Kazmer's mixed-media designs, a resin review by Eleanore Macnish, and my favorite - Kristal Wick making fabric beads. In every issue, you will find the editor's greeting, found objects, tooling around, tech101, idea marketplace, and resources as well as a few well timed project ideas. I'm a huge fan of the format. I love the ease in which you can watch a video to learn a technique and then follow instructions to complete a project. Very smart!

  6. I feel like I've not read enough different bead mags to have a good opinion, but Beadwork has always been a favourite and so has Belle Armoire Jewelry, which I loved since I first picked up a copy. (Next on my list of mags to try is Perlen Poesie.)

I also just got that e-mail and I'm very curious about it. Sounds interesting that it's not just a pdf-version of a paper mag, but really takes advantage of the technological possibilities.

I am still not convinced about e-magazines and e-stuff in general. I still love having the pages in my hand to look at when and where I choose.

That said, I am willing to TRY. But I subscribe to most wire and bead related magazines but love "Stringing Magazine" best.
