  9. Oooo cool prize! It would be wonderful to add knitted wire to my polymer clay bead projects. So please pick me!

My lucky number used to be 7, but over the years it has become 47. I'm not sure what started it, but my husband and kids began using the number 47 as their go-to answer for everything. Like... How many cookies do you want? 47 How long will it take? 47 and so on. Now we all have it as our family's lucky number. Cute Eh?

  18. I like to shake hands with a chimney sweep for luck. Why? It's worked twice. Once I won a trip after shaking hands with the one cleaning our chimney (and I asked to shake based on Mary Poppins Movie) - and when I made my sister shake hands with one at Disney (not actual chimney sweep) she won a truck -- Those guys are definately lucky (real or actors!)

  90. My lucky number is 13. I met my husband on the 13th, we broke up for a while, we got back together on the 13th, we would have been married on the 13th, but everything was booked. I wore number 13 uniform top for softball for 8 years of grade school, we were a great team! I consider my children, my best lucky charms, though I can't wear them personally, when they were baptized (also on the 13th) their god parents gave me a "charm" with their names and the date of baptism. I've tried the plastic knitting spool, without much success as the top pops off. I have been looking for a wood spool, but unless you order online, they're hard to come by. I love wirework, it's very relaxing, but frustrating when you try the plastic knitting spool. Wish me luck!

My lucky charm is a dragonfly. I have liked them since I was a kid. A few years ago while visiting a cousin in ND, we were sitting on the roof of a home he was about to renovate, when we were surrounded by thousands of dragonflies that had just hatched. It was surreal & very cool.

  120. My lucky number is 8 and I use it whenever I can. It became my lucky number on the day I married my husband: 8/8/88. We got married at 8:08am in a park in KC, MO and unbelievably, it was 88 degrees. The minister even wrote that on the marriage certificate!
We celebrated our 20th anniversary on 08/08/08 by renewing our vows at the Stratusphere in Las Vegas - 800 feet above The Strip, in a simultaneous ceremony of 88 couples.
In addition to its significance for me, the 8 on its side is also the symbol for infinity, and is a beautiful shape, easily made with wire. I use wire in every way imaginable, and would love to try knitting with it.

  124. Very simply put, my lucky "charm" is a number, the number of the day I was born - 17. Sometimes this day falls on the Day of Atonement, or day of at-one-ment, so for me, as a pastor and fellow beader, this day is a pretty important day to me. As for it being lucky, must be, as I was born that day!!!

  125. My favorite/lucky charm would have to be a heart shaped stone a friend of mine found. I used it as a worry stone when I was taking care of a friend who was sick with cancer. He has since passed but I still have the stone.

  128. My good luck charm is the butterfly. It symboliizes rebirth & renewal. It is delicate and beautiful as well as strong. It's delicate wings are are nature's portraits and inspires my color combinations when creating pieces of jewelry. There is butterfly art in various medias in the rooms of my house. The butterfly is quiet and serene and having them around keeps my spirit the same way, thus having a happy calming effect.

  131. I don't know if I really consider this a lucky charm or not but I never go anywhere without the rosary bracelet I wire-wrapped for myself years ago. It is a reminder to me that God is in control and that I am never alone.

  133. I am a beginner at this. I used to use yarn with a small wooden spool to make lots of long "things". Never knew what to do after that. Interested to try the wire spooling with beads intertwined. I have made some bracelets and necklaces with beads. My favorite # is 5, yet do not collect anything specific for good luck. Looking forward to starting a new craft. I do birthday cards with paper and stickers.

  134. WOW . . .So many have already here. My favorite lucky charm is my deceased dogs' dogtags. He was a miniature yorkie named "Geekie". I miss him every day. I will hold these on the drawing date, just to see if they are truly lucky.

  153. I am a follower of this blog and love it!

I have a favorite color, red, for all of the buddies I lost during service in the Army...

My lucky number is 7, for all of the times I almost didn't come home, but did, so either I am lucky, blessed, or both!

My lucky charm is a wolf tooth that I wear on my dog tags (no pun intended!) that belonged to the best canine friend I ever had.

I have been spool knitting for some time, but have rough tools made by myself. It would be wonderful to have nice ones.

Thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration!!
