  1. Well, dang! So much good there. I have been circling that book for ages, so it was good to see it again. And Margie Deeb is always so insightful into the colors that rule our lives. I love to hear more of the psychology behind color. She fascinates me. But truthfully, the article from Charlene Gary intrigued me the most. When I saw her name and recognized it from my sampler club I knew I would love to read what she had to say. But to know that somehow I sent her the exact charm (chosen at random) that helped her to FOCUS really makes my day! I love the idea of a chalkboard where you write your goals down. I will have to borrow that idea for my studio! (Beats sticky notes everywhere!) Thanks for sharing all this great information with us, Sara!
    Enjoy the day!

  14. I really liked SPOTLIGHT ON ... COLOR BY MARGIE DEEB . I can put colors together, but only two ways - colors in the same family, or the colors that contrast. I really need to learn more about putting colors together and this book sounds perfect for it!
Thanks for the giveaway! Good thing I didn't have to write this on paper, or my drooling over the prizes would make the ink run, LOL!

I am inspired each day by what I wear. I cherish my handmade glass beads as they are awe inspiring and help to jack up my mood. I love art and wearing it is even better than hanging on the wall. These are inspiring just to look at and narrowing down what I have to have is going to be difficult. But knowing they are handmade makes them all the more special.

  37. I love the feature on _Spotlight on Wire_ - I've gotten really into wire work lately (a nice cross between the simpler chain maille and more intricate beadweaving I've done in the past)!

I follow the blog, have shared on Facebook and on Twitter, and have commented on the Facebook page (Carolyn Penney).

I can be contacted at carolyn@maidenstar.com

    Thanks!

  44. I love the wire book. More and more, I have been working with wire and those fabulous dichroic beads would be fabulous to work with. The other articles weren't slouchy either and I always learn so much from seeing what other designers are up to.

  45. I love the article by Margie Deeb. I like how she brings the colors which are my favorites into view as being the most insightful color palatee there is. I love the way you can put the focus on these colors. I put them together in several different ways, with a necklace which has a large pendant in 1 color with the hue which complements the shades of the rest of the colors in these shades. It turned out fantastic and I have received request from others to design something just like it for them. I love Margie Deeb and think that great minds work in the same way. Thank you for your Spotlight on her.

  47. Wow, all six were great to consider, but the article by Charlene Gary was the one I could really identify with and relate to. First, she is a Libra, as am I. Then, she was in the same place I have been for about six weeks. What to do, what to start on, foggy brain, all of it was like she was writing about me. Therefore, after reading it, I have some inspiration and a place to start to come out of my funk. As always, I enjoy the blog! I will promote on twitter and on etsy. I don't have a face book account due to limited time. Thanks again, Rose
