An Attitude Of Gratitude At Soft Flex: A New Baby, The Little Things And Dogs7:00 AM
Over the holidays, we as a company, decided to cultivate an attitude of gratitude and sharing what we are grateful for. It was an inspiring challenge and we looked forward to every day. I know I learned a few new things about my co-workers - many of whom I have worked with for years! We enjoyed it so much, we wanted to share our attitude of gratitude with you here, in a Thankful Thursday blog series. We hope you enjoy hearing about the little and big things we are thankful for
Today's featured employee is Thomas Soles. Thomas has worked with Soft Flex Company for 13 years and is the Trade Show Coordinator as well as a Sales Representative.
When asked, "What are you thankful for?" Here is what Thomas shared:
This year , I am thankful for December 30th. The date my first child will be born. I am thankful for the beautiful woman that is carrying him. I am thankful for the friends and family rallying and getting little gifts and offering to babysit. I am thankful for my little man and the village that is willing to see to his well being.
I am thankful for the little things. Spiced apple cider on a chilly night. Crispy bacon before a long day of work. Socks that don't drop around my ankles when I pull them up. That wonderful first stretch in bed before I get up in the morning. The warm purring of my cat as she “makes bread”. That out-of-nowhere praise for my kumihimo bracelet. Finding money in my pants pockets. I love the little things.
I am thankful for dogs. I am thankful that I got to spend twelve years with a great friend that never let me down and asked nothing of me but love and some yummies - once in a while. I am thankful for dog hair on black clothes. Thankful for drool and barking. Thankful that this journey is shared with such loving and wonderful animals.
