Here is a little about our regular blog contributors!

Sara Oehler (pronounced Ay-ler) or simplified to Sara O is a well known designer residing in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. She has designed and written for numerous publications including: BeadStyle, BeadandButton, Bead Trends, Stringing, Jewelry in Fashion Trends, Simply Beads, The Flow and Today’s Creative Home Arts. Her design was featured on the cover of the September 2011 issue of BeadStyle Magazine. And, Sara O co-authored the book Show Your Colors, published by Kalmbach in January of 2012.  As “Ask Sara” of Soft Flex® Company, she has had the opportunity to have her work featured in several advertisements, signs, fliers, postcards, and more. Sara O has attended, showed her designs, demoed and taught within the Soft Flex® Company booth at hundreds of bead shows in her almost 15 year career with them.

Kristen Fagan is the Website Graphic Designer for Soft Flex Company and the artist behind Creative Stash, an art and design business. She was born and raised on Long Island in New York. An enriching art program in school opened her eyes and heart to visual art. She graduated with a B.A. in Visual Communication and has been working as a full time graphic designer since 2000 with experience in both print and web formats. She has been a designer with Soft Flex Company since 2003. Her experiences have shaped her into a designer that can handle projects from concept to completion. She is an independent worker that holds collective contribution in high regard. Kristen makes art that is colorful, whimsical and illustrative. Her tools and processes vary project to project. She creates digitally, with beads and wire, with paint and pastels, on canvas, wood and paper. When her work is going well it feels effortless, a direct flow of energy from her heart, soul and body. Exploring creativity through design, art and handmade creations has brought much joy and purpose into her life. She currently lives in Mesa, Arizona with her husband and their two sons. When she’s not creating, she enjoys time with friends and family, reading, yoga, exploring the outdoors and road trips.
