Free DIY Beaded Jewelry Ideas by Jamie Hogsett

As you read this, my family (just a small group of 18 of us!) are making our way home from a California vacation where we celebrated my grandma's 85th birthday. The vacation fell just a week after getting home from the Bead and Button Show, but luckily I had a chance to make a couple of things using some of the treasures I got in Milwaukee. Hooray for vacation jewelry!
Fun ceramic charms from Melanie at Earthenwood Studio are the focal point for the earrings above. Vintaj eye pins connect the charms to a stack of tiny lampwork rondelles from MZ Glass, polymer clay beads from HumbleBeads and Vintaj beads and bead caps. Topping the earrings off are more HumbleBeads beads and Vintaj findings wire wrapped with Peacock Blue 20-gauge Soft Flex Craft Wire.

This bracelet is my new, absolute favorite! Made with new cookie tin beads from Glass Garden Beads, enameled beads and a toggle clasp from Sara at C-Koop (this is a brand new toggle size for her and it's wonderful!) and accented with topaz 6mm Swarovski Elements Crystal rounds and 4mm turquoise heishi spacers on Fluorite .019 Diameter Soft Flex Beading Wire.

New beads, new jewelry, and a vacation?! Summer is off to a great start. Hope you are enjoying your summer too!
